Moët Hennessy Relocation Casts a Modern Light with VISO

Moving to the 35th and 36th floors of 7 World Trade Center, this project required custom fabrications that would support an exciting, vibrant, and dynamic environment.

Brief

TPG Architecture has reached out once again to work with VISO to fabricate custom lighting solutions for the new home of Moët Hennessy, USA. VISO design-engineered and manufactured a package of custom contemporary lights. Found throughout the office are finishes of brush brass, brushed champagne, matte silver, and opal white.

Client Need

The relocation involved a redesign of the 35th and 36th floors of 7 World Trade Center which is a total of 82,000 square-feet. As one of the most advanced buildings in the world, this project required custom fabrications that would support an exciting, vibrant, and dynamic environment.

Challenges

Instead of one large piece, an extensive installation consisting of multiple individual pendants was design-engineered and manufactured by VISO to create a look of effervescence across the ceiling. A total of 370 units line the areas of the main entrance all the way to the bar area and spiral staircase. An installation of this stature requires attention to detail in its functionality to ensure everything works smoothly, which VISO successfully provided.

The Solution: Custom Pendant

Known for its luxury spirits, 370 pendants line the ceiling surrounding the bar, reception area, and staircase. Reminiscent of floating bubbles, these lights have a brush brass finish and feature a frosted acrylic for a diffused glow.

The Solution: Custom Ring Pendant

The modern, open spaces of the offices create breathing room and an airy quality. To match this design, minimalistic halos decorate the office ceilings. The round illuminated rigns range in 72" and 48". as a result, the two sizes provide a dynamic design.

The Solution: Custom Bar Pendant

The main lunchroom is an open space that features a modern kitchen on one side and booth seats on the other. Furthermore, the kitchen island features a crisp white tabletop that picks up on the opal white orbs of the center chandelier that hangs above. Additionally, this custom chandelier is accented by a proprietary brushed brass finish.

The Solution: Wall Sconce

Opposite to the kitchen, the seating area, though next to beautiful windows, still needed some lights for additional illumination. As a result, the columns were decorated with minimalistic wall sconces. These lights display soft curves and matches the chandelier across the room. Each orb supports a 3.5W G9 LED lamp.
