Custom Light Boxes Adorn the 1230 Club Ceiling
Working together with AvroKO Hospitality Group and GoodShop Manufacturies, VISO design-engineered and fabricated a custom lighting package for 1230 Club, owned by Justin Timberlake and Sam Fox. This includes an impressive ceiling that is covered in light boxes, spanning approx. 50ft across.
Brief
When this supper club restaurant, owned by restaurateur Sam Fox and renowned musician Justin Timberlake, first began its journey, it was clear it needed the right partners for the job. VISO worked in collaboration with AvroKO and GoodShop Manufacturies to pay homage to the 19th century supper clubs, incorporating Art Deco style and elegance.
Client Need
Each level of this bar and restaurant has its own style. With a project this large it required an established brand that fully understands lighting and has the expertise to design-engineer and manufacture with skill. As well, with feature lighting installation that spans across the full ceiling, from fabrication to installation, it required complete coordination and precise detailing.
Challenges
The feature lighting installation involved multiple parts, one being the collection of 65 light boxes that fit on a custom framework. Spanning across approximately 50ft, this light fixture needed to incorporate a system to allow for ease of maintenance. This resulted in VISO design-engineering a way that allowed for parts to be replaced instead of the whole thing at a time. This attention to detail allowed VISO to provide the client with cost-saving solutions in the future.
