2023 Iconic Awards Winner 1230 Club

The Iconic Awards has recognized our project 1230 Club as the Selection winner for Innovative Architecture in the INTERIOR - Hospitality category. This unique project, truly one-of-a-kind, features our custom light boxes that adorn the 1230 Club ceiling, spanning 246.5" long and 138" wide. Working in collaboration with AvroKO and GoodShop Manufacturies, VISO design-engineered this feature light installation that incorporates a special system to allow for ease of maintenance, while keeping the design intent intact.

The multifaceted interior of the light box creates a dramatic light display for diners below. Connecting them is a custom oak wood frame that allows for easy access to each of the light boxes that slide out accordingly. This impressive install has 65 light boxes in a chrome metal finish that are fastened to the ceiling. VISO design-engineered a way that allowed for parts to be replaced instead of the whole thing at a time. This attention to detail allowed VISO to provide the client with cost-saving solutions in the future.

The Iconic Awards: innovative Architecture is a prestigious award that is only given to those in the industry that emulate the best innovative achievement. As an international award, it really is the best competing among the best of the world.

In winning this award, VISO was automatically nominated for next year's German Design Awards. Presented by the German Design Council, the GDA is one of the best-known design competitions in the world and is held in high regards well beyond professional circles.
