2023 German Design Award Winner

The Nusr-Et Steakhouse project in Las Vegas has won the German Design Award 2023 - Special Mention for Excellent Architecture in Lighting Design. Working with TPG Architecture, VISO design-engineered, fabricated and installed this one-of-a-kind feature decorative lighting installation. 

The German Design Swards, presented by the German Design Council, is one of the best-known design competitions in the world and is held in high regards well beyond professional circles. The German Design Awards is sectioned into three award disciplines "Excellent Communications Design", "Excellent Product Design", and "Excellent Architecture". 

After careful consideration and an extensive evaluation process performed by jury members within a unique network of design and innovation experts, the Nusr-Et in Las Vegas was named as one of their 2023 winners under Excellent Architecture. 

Utilizing design as a tool to support an illuminating transformation and enhance values, VISO was commissioned by TPG Architecture to design-engineer lighting solutions for Nusr-Et Steakhouse Las Vegas. VISO collaborated closely with TPG Architecture to provide a level in luxury in dining and entertainment, embracing grandeur and the aura of the surrounding nightlife. 

The custom feature that is installed within the main bar spans between two floors at an impressive height. Designed as one of the main attractions, this LED display column creates a remarkably gleaming bar area. Included in its structure are multiple LED screen panels, rings and ceiling with the highest pixel quality LED screens, contemporary decorative crystal pendants, and DMX controlled LEDs. This custom light structure doubles in function as it also houses glassware. Each piece is a stunner on its own, but together create the perfect ambiance for this two-story venue.
