Business Analyst

That’s where you come in

As our new Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for a range of financial duties: things like reporting, data management, costing and analysis.

A big part of this role involves working with our new ERP software, EPICOR. Here you’ll manage end to end business processes, and identify, define, and analyze business requirements. You’ll also support our software transition by being a resource for EPICOR, and contribute to change and product management.

Succeeding in this role means always looking forward to new opportunities, whether that involves improving our systems for efficiency, finding new applications, or furthering our business goals.

Business analysis is an integral role in our company, and you’ll learn all about our core operations as you gain experience with us. If you can deliver on and exceed the expectations of this role, there will be plenty of chances to grow into more senior positions and responsibilities.

Working @ Viso

This will be a full-time, permanent position with hours from 9-5, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive compensation package, which includes a salary between $70,000 and $85,000 per year, commensurate with your experience. You’ll also get full medical and dental after a trial period, as well as free parking, and potential for bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business analysis, preferably in manufacturing or a related industry
  • Bachelors degree in business or a related field
  • Strong business communication skills, and ability/interest in working directly with clients
  • Proficiency with ERP software, including EPICOR
  • Demonstrated ability to implement new software/systems related to business analytics

Industrial Designer

Overview

Technical/drawing skills, capabilities with Keyshot, understanding of international electrical requirements – decorative and technical lighting.

Job description

The position is a rare opportunity to join and build the core industrial design team at VISO. You will have an opportunity to work with renowned international Interior Designers & Architects to satisfy lighting requirements for their projects. Additionally, you will work with various production teams and partners to achieve products are according to VISO’s design and quality expectations and exceed customers’ expectations. Customers love lighting we design and produce for their projects because our products are “Made With Love”. Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience.

Skills

  • Superb rendering capabilities with Keyshot
  • Understanding of international electrical requirements – decorative and technical lighting
  • Understanding of B2B project requirements an asset
  • University or College degree required
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Product Technician

Overview

Assemble parts, set up assembly line with materials and supplies.

Specific Skills

Assemble parts, set up assembly line with materials and supplies required for production. Check products for defects and faulty electrical and mechanical connections. Operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality. Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies. Perform other duties as assigned by the team lead.

  • Attention to detail
  • Committed to workplace cleanliness
  • Great at following instructions and a quick learner.
  • Some experience and comfort in operating hand tools (Drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
  • Some soldering experience
  • Good math skills (basic math as well as geometry; used in marking canopies, etc..)
  • Reading diagrams and/or drawings
  • Participate as part of a team in the production line
  • Assist with various tasks in the department assigned
  • Previous industrial/manufacturing plant experience is required
  • Experience within a fast paced environment is an asset
  • Comfortable being part of a multi-cultural and fun environment
  • Must be committed to safe work practices

Additional Requirements

Excellent communication, reading, writing and speaking skills. Finding information, computer use, fast and with a sense of urgency.

Assets:

Knowledge of and experience in electrical lighting assembly a strong asset.

Experience:

3-5 years production/assembly experience
High School Education is required. College degree is a strong asset.

Inside Sales

Building and maintaining relationships with customers and with the team to build better customer and team experience.

Summary: 

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining amazing relationships with customers and with the team in order to build better customer and team experience. You love providing solutions in an efficient and timely manner and must work closely with the design and manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are on track. You are hungry to develop relationships and make money to ultimately be the best at what you do.

We are actively looking for you who will bring contagious enthusiasm to new and existing clients and to the team in our Head Office in Downtown Toronto!

Primary tasks and responsibilities:

  • Manage customer inquiries and marketing leads including quotations and lead times.
  • Utilize construction/design data and drawings to contact potential end users and customers about job specifics.
  • Proactively process, expedite, and follow-up on quote requests in an accurate, timely, and professional manner. Provide information to customers regarding product availabilities, shipment, delivery.
  • Join meetings and prepare a weekly sales report with a weekly action plan on decreasing accounts and steps taken to close the gap as well as the status of new accounts.
  • Effectively sell and upsell the customer by utilizing various tools available.
  • Meet and exceed provided sales quota.

Supervision Received:

  •  Works under the general direction and guidance of the Sales Supervisor.

Level and Type of Education Required:

  • College/University Degree or Trade/Industrial Design/Technical Institute or equivalent work experience.

Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Insides Sales experience.

Necessary Specialized Training, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) mandatory.
  • Electrical/technical know how a must.
  • Knowledge of lighting (a huge asset).
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in Inside Sales preferably in luxury, electrical, lighting products.
  • Experience guiding customers with product selection and project bids.
  • Proven Customer service and Sales skills.
  • Knowledge of Epicor or ERP an asset.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCad a huge asset.

Other:
